Inter signing Ricky Alvarez has endeared himself to his new club by claiming his side can win the Serie A title this season.
The 23-year-old, who did well in the recent Supercoppa defeat to rivals AC Milan, also insists the club can cope without the services of Samuel Eto'o, who looks set to join Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala this week.
"I am becoming happier to be here, more and more as the days pass. It is important to me, that at an important club like Inter I was received very well by all. This is a very united group, it is a pleasure and I'm proud to help make it, " the ex-Velez player told Sky Sport Italia.
"Inter for the title? I hope so, I believe and we will do everything to make this possible."
Regarding Eto'o, he continued: "Everyone knows his extraordinary qualities, but it depends on the market, who won't and who will be here at the end of August, but Inter remain a strong and competitive group."
Alvarez was recently called up to the Argentina national side for the upcoming friendly matches with Venezuela and Nigeria, and he said of his inclusion: "I'm very happy with the first call to the national side, I hope to make the most of it if I am given the opportunity to play."
